As we know, the key component of a CMH lamp is the arc tube. The arc tube Cnlight used is totally design by itself with independent intellectual property rights. It’s the latest one-part ellipse shape arc tube and we’ve got patents for this design. Compared with traditional five-part, three-part and two-part arc tubes, it has a few advantages as below mentioned:

1. Parts of traditional arc tubes need to be joined together, if the sealing technology is not good enough or the workers are not careful enough, there must have some very little gaps at the place of joints. It will cause leak of atmosphere inside the tube and reduce the light output. However, ours is made up of one part, so there have no joints and gas, can avoid the leak of atmosphere. Figure 1 shows the difference.

For traditional cylinder shape arc tubes, when the lamp is on, the light will reflect on the inside wall of the tube and then emit out. But for our ellipse shape arc tube, the light will emit out directly without reflection. It will increase light output a lot. Please refer to Figure 2

3. For traditional cylinder shape arc tubes, they have cold corners at the inside bottom of the tube, it will cause metal halide and tungsten deposition and reduce the light output. But ours can effectively avoid this problem and keep light output stable. Please refer to Figure 3.
